Chapter Truth Claim
1. Part 1 There is such a thing as absolute truth, and by using standardized, logical, historical investigative techniques, this truth can be found. All major religions have claims of exclusivity. The law of noncontradiction is always in play.
2. Part 2 There is firm, objective evidence for a God.
3. Part 3 Based on evidence from physics and astronomy, the Universe had a beginning – and from the beginning, the universe was and is fine-tuned for life to occur on Earth. It could not have happened by chance.
4. Part 4 The Earth and the Universe are around 6,000 years old, and were created in six literal 24-hour days.
5. Part 5 The complexity of DNA and living cells requires that a designer designed them. They could not have evolved into initial existence (at any level of complexity) on their own.
6. Part 6 Characters that are fictional are just and only that - as are their actions. These are fables, stories, and legends. Historical characters that actually lived are true. They, and their actions, are truthful. The Life, Death, Burial and Bodily Resurrection of Jesus are all True Events, not unsubstantiated fables. They exhibit historicity.
7. Part 7 The story of Jesus’ resurrection was not invented, and there was no motivation for anyone to lie about its truthfulness.

“You can choose whichever (worldview) you want…but if you’re going to be a scholar (italics added) about it, you’re going to choose Christianity every time…” – William Lane Craig, in Strobel, Lee (20___). The Case for Christ (video).
